Lena Dunham showed off her fake slit throat before the airing of a “Scandal” episode in which she guest stars as a writer who meets a grisly demise.
It’s a Dunham whodunnit.
“Girls” star Lena Dunham grossed out some fans, and probably amused many haters, by posting an Instagram pic of her gushing blood from the neck— as a special effects test for her small role on the ABC political drama “Scandal.”
“Sue of the Dead #scandal,” the 28-year-ancient comedian wrote with the grimacing pic,referencing her “Scandal” character’s name.
Another photo from her Instagram account shows a more pleased-looking Dunham having a crew member set her up with a tube of fake blood, in preparation of a brutal murder scene.

Lena Dunham wrote “Gettin rigged up to die” with this behind-the-scenes pic.
“Gettin rigged up to die #Scandal,” she wrote with the photo.
A wig-wearing Dunham made a “Girls”-esque guest appearance on Thursday night’s “Scandal” episode,playing a writer who penned a tell-all book about kinky sex she’s had with D.C. officials.
By the end of the episode, she’s had her throat slit to keep her silent about her explosive escapades.

Dunham posted several other behind-the-scenes snaps from “Scandal,” including a selfie with series starJeff Perry and a peek at the bra options she was given by the wardrobe department.
She also live-tweeted the episode when it aired, repeatedly showing like to the cast and crew, especially creator Shondra Rhimes.
The fourth season end of Dunham’s HBO show “Girls” airs Sunday.
