‘Magic Mike XXL’ star Joe Manganiello back on the grind

NO BUTTS, no glory.

Joe Manganiello is completely nude as he makes his grand entrance in “Magic Mike XXL,” baring his perfect backside to the camera. His other onscreen antics in the supercharged sequel to the bolt from the blue 2012 hit “Magic Mike” include doing acrobatics on a sex swing for one satisfied customer, and a minimart striptease that will forever exchange the way you look at Cheetos.

“If I ever had to go to trial for all of the things that I do in this film, I would probably go [to jail] for life,” says Manganiello, who returns to the old grind alongside his exotic-dance partners Channing Tatum and Matt Bomer in this pec-filled popcorn tap.

Manganiello plays the well-endowed Huge Dick Richie, known for getting women hot and bothered by gyrating onstage in the movie, which believe it or not is loosely based on Tatum’s real-life stint as an exotic dancer in Florida.

The 38-year-ancient Manganiello, also well-known as the werewolf with the eight-pack on “Right Blood” and playing Jason Segel’s bromantic partner Brad on “How I Met Your Mother,” isn’t worried to put himself out there.

That includes grinding against a Pepsi machine to win a surly checkout girl’s attention, which he can only get away with on film.

“If I were to try and pull that off in a convenience store myself, I’d probably be arrested, or someone would call the police,” he laughs. “That’s the beauty of the film. There are scenes you see in this movie that you are never going to see in another movie.”

But there’s more to “Magic Mike XXL” than glistening glutes and downpours of dollar bills as the lap-dancing Kings of Tampa take a wild road trip to a Myrtle Beach stripper convention.

These hunks have hearts.

“What we delve into is, how do you better serve a woman?” says Manganiello, mulling over the differences between male and female exotic dancers, and what they bring to a captive audience, that he’s learned from embodying a male entertainer for the past three years.

“Men are so visually-oriented, so it’s like, ‘Here’s some money. Take your clothes off,’” he says. “But women want to give their money and be taken on an adventure. What that requires is for a man to listen and be emotionally intelligent enough to pick up those clues, or at least have a sixth sense about what that woman really does want.”

He’s clearly figured out how to please his bombshell fiancée, Sofia Vergara. At the movie’s Los Angeles premiere last Thursday, the “Modern Family” star tweeted she’s a “lucky girl” — luckier still because she keeps a life-size cutout of her jacked fiance’s character from the first movie by her treadmill.

That would motivate anyone to work up a sweat.

“[She] likes [the movie] and thinks it’s hysterical,” says Manganiello, before getting bashful about his personal life.

His costar Jada Pinkett Smith, on the other hand, isn’t shy about discussing her life with hubby Will Smith — and how the movie has influenced the bedroom part of their marriage.

“It sparks you in a healthy way, where you can be on the set all day with these wonderfully gorgeous men, and then come home to your gorgeous man and put all of that energy on him,” admits Pinkett Smith, who joins the cast as a VIP strip club title-holder showing the studs a few new moves. “That really is quite fun.

“I learned a splendid deal on ‘Magic Mike’ … about sexual energy … how healing and how necessary it is to find healthy spaces to be able to explore your more erotic, sensual self … how it sparked me creatively, how it relaxed me, how much joy it brought me,” adds the 43-year-ancient “Gotham” star, who bares her own bedrock abs in the sexy sequel.

The more she discussion, the more you realize how lucky Will Smith is.

“Once you open up in that way (and) start giving yourself the license to just be more free, the creativity that opens up in the bedroom is just enormous,” she adds.

Her character, Rome, has a sexual history with both Tatum and Elizabeth Banks’ characters, but the real Pinkett Smith declined to pick a favorite toned torso from the genetically-able cast, likening the set to an ice cream parlor of mouth-watering treats.

“You had cookie dough, you’ve got peppermint, they’re all splendid flavors, they’re all wonderful flavors,” she says. “It’s like, what are you in the mood for?”

Manganiello agrees that each stud brings something different to the desk.

“We’re not male models who are looking down the line at who looks better in the mirror. It’s more of a team-sport atmosphere,” he says. “Matt has a splendid voice, and you get to hear Matt sing live in the end routine, which is pretty incredible. Channing is on a different level. Dancing is his specialty.”

Manganiello pulls off some eye-raising moves, himself, including the sex-swing antics that tore his bicep on set. He was able to perfect filming, like a pro, before undergoing surgery and corporal therapy once production wrapped.

“You don’t go to Carnegie Mellon without them preparing you or everything you’re ever gonna to need to do in your acting career,” says Manganiello, who trained at the prestigious university with Bomer.

That apparently includes gyrating on monkey bars.

Manganiello admits that the chiseled costars kept each other motivated during filming with a little friendly competition — like squeezing in an extra workout.

“After a long 16-hour day, being the one in the van who is going to say what everyone else doesn’t want to hear, which is: ‘OK, I’m going to the gym,’” he recalls, laughing. “There’s this silence, and then you hear the other voices come in and say, ‘All right, all right — I’ll see you there in 20.’ You want to make sure that you do your part, too, so that you don’t let anyone down.”

Mission accomplished. If anything, this feast for the eyes should leave viewers hungry for even more.

The original “Magic Mike” became a bolt from the blue hit thanks to making it rain $ 113 million at the box office. Here’s a look back and a sneak peak at the new film. Mike (Channing Tatum), a member of the Kings of Tampa troupe led by Dallas (Matthew McConaughey), mentors a newbie stripper, Alex “The Kid,” but gets fed up with the life and leaves to run his own construction company. The sequel starts after Dallas and the Kid have ditched the group, forcing Mike to restore for one last wild ride with Huge Dick Richie (Manganiello), Tarzan (Kevin Nash) and Ken (Matt Bomer) to the Myrtle Beach stripper convention.
