Mel Brooks’ day at Walk of Fame gets out of hand
Leave it to funnyman Mel Brooks to cement his place in history with an 11-fingered hand-print. The 88-year-ancient Brooklyn native used a prosthetic finger to make his mark on the Walk of Fame at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre. Brooks, of course, reflected on the meaning of the monumental achievement of being forever memoralized in pavement. “I’m worried about my shoes being cleaned at the moment — they are full of cement,” he joked. “Apart from that, I’m hoping that out of the millions of tourists that are going to see my hands and feet through the years, one of them will say, ‘Aggravate, Mel Brooks has six fingers on his left hand.’ ”
Brooks also took a moment to remember recently passed comic legends. “We’ve just lost two very groundbreaking, danger-seeking comics in Robin Williams and in Joan Rivers,” he said. “You know Joan Rivers was like ‘Star Trek.’ She went places that no one else would dare to go.” Then Brooks, as he does, found a bright side. “There will always be people who come up, who are crazy, amusing, who are creative, and will break the boundaries and make us laugh,” he promised.

‘SNOW’ FUN FOR HALL
When you’re 6 feet tall, the fall from grace is just that little bit harder. Jerry Hall, once one of the world’s most glamorous women, managed to smile through a photo call in London in the costume for her appearance in a kitschy holiday production of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” in London. The former Mrs. Mick Jagger will start a month-long run as the Wicked Queen on Dec. 11.
DOG DAYS FOR KLUM
Only one thing can distract Heidi Klum from her boy toy. Earlier this week we printed pictures of the “Project Airstrip” host and boyfriend Vito Schnabel making out like teenagers at the U.S. Open. But on another visit to the Arthur Ashe Stadium, this time to watch the men’s final match on Monday, Klum only had eyes for her hot dog.
JENNY FINDS WEDDED BLITZ
Since signing off from “The View” last month, Jenny McCarthy is moving at her own speed. We’re told that Rutherford went unnoticed, narrowly missing a surefire impromptu autograph conference. The hotel is on the tour because character Chuck Bass, played by Ed Westwick, resided there.
