What’s it about? Bruce Lee! Kung-fu fighting!

New on DVD & Blu-ray
“Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters”
What’s it about?
A bizarro take on the Brothers Grimm fairy tail in which the orphaned brother and sister grow up to be witch-hunting vigilantes. Critics were not kind to the movie’s cartoonish CGI, character development, or weird premise.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters - DVD Clip No. 1
“Killing Lincoln”
What’s it about? An adaptation, narrated by Tom Hanks, of the book “Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever” by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard, which depicts the events surrounding the assassination of head Abraham Lincoln. It may not be terrible in the least, but we tend to draw the line at one brilliant (and long) Lincoln-centric movie per decade.
In or Out: OUT.

“Knife Fight”
What’s it about? Rob Lowe and co. depict the grubby side of politics in this would-be political satire that falls flat as it aims for redemption.
In or Out: OUT.

“Save the Date”
What’s it about? A superb indie romantic comedy starring the charmingly real Lizzie Caplan, “Mad Men” and “Community” sweetie Alison Brie, and Geoffrey Arend as Caplan’s musician boyfriend whose abrupt marriage proposal is very publicly rejected.
In or Out: IN.

“Snitch”
What’s it about? In this action-thriller with a harsh look at the “war on drugs,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars as a dad trying to save his falsely-accused son from a ten-year prison sentence. It’s refreshing to see The Rock in a more sophisticated role instead of the usual mindless action sequences.
In or Out: IN.

“Incorrect”
What’s it about? In this surrealist indie comedy, a man searches for his dog when he goes missing in one of many weird occurrences following his run into with a mysterious man.

“The Emperor’s New Groove: 2 Movie Collection” (“The Emperor’s New Groove” |”Kronk’s New Groove”)
“Lilo & Stitch: 2-Movie Collection” (“Lilo & Stitch” | “Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch”)

What’s It About? Some of the most under-rated offerings from Disney’s 2000s-era (particularly “Lilo & Stitch” and “Emperor’s New Groove”) come out of the vault for packed-to-the-gills special editions.
In or Out: IN.

“Wild Strawberries” Criterion Collection
What’s It About? It’s hard to give a nugget-sized review for a meditative Swedish film from the ’50s, so we’ll just say that it’s one of the most acclaimed movies of all times, hailed by directors ranging from Stanley Kubrick to Woody Allen.
