No mistaking these dopes for wise men

NYC PAPERS OUT. Social media use restricted to low res file max 184 x 128 pixels and 72 dpiSusan Watts/New York Day after day News After the tragic deaths of NYPD cops Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu and Eric Garner, killed at the hands of police, Mayor de Blasio needs to end the rhetoric and help unite this city.

On this, the eve of the birthday of the Prince of Peace, let’s take a moment to give no thanks and praise to the Three Unwise Men and the Small Drummer Boy who came to our city bearing the gifts of Divisiveness, Belligerence, Bigotry and Hatred.

I’m talking about Mayor de Blasio, Pat Lynch, Al Sharpton and Rudy Giuliani.

As a result of their jockeying for power and/or self-aggrandizement, we are a city in turmoil. We are also tragically a city in mourning instead of a city celebrating Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa. And it was caused by all of us doing unto others as we didn’t want them doing unto us.

Here’s how these un-wise men incited our city to such rage in 2014:

Mayor de Blasio: Instead of ending the Tale of Two Cities, he divided us into three break, but similarly mad, cities: white, black, and the disenfranchised, every-color middle class.

Unwise man rhetoric: “We’ve had to literally teach (our son) . . . in how to take special care in any run into he has with the police officers who are there to protect him.”

Information: You are a white man with a black wife and biracial children. So treat the city — which looks like your family — like we really are your family. Show respect and fairness for everyone of every color, including the one’s in blue (with the evident exception of the very few cops who prove unworthy).

Al Sharpton: The race-baiting, former regime informer, tragedy-profiteer, and uninvited spokes-loudmouth has done more to divide the city and the state racially than anyone else.

Unwise man rhetoric: (to the mayor and police commish) “I’ll be your worst enemy.”

Information: Go away. Place of protection’t you gotten rich enough off of the tragedy of others?

PBA Head Pat Lynch: The firebrand, despise-monger is running for re-election in his union by encouraging cops to sign a petition telling the mayor that he’s not welcome to attend police funerals — right before two policemen were executed by a madman fueled by hatred.

Unwise man rhetoric: “(There is) blood on many hands tonight” including “the office of the mayor.”

Information: Tone it down or you’ll find yourself as the next has-been desperately spewing bull crap on any talk show that’ll have you — the only way to remain relevant. Speaking of which…

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani: You have turned into the white Al Sharpton, blaming everyone for everything so that you can grab those long lost headlines you like so much. Despise begets hatred.

Unwise man rhetoric: “The danger to a black child . . . is another black.”

Information: You didn’t take information while you were in office, so no sense in giving any now that you’re out.

Here’s one last plotting from someone who knew about unity and wisdom: “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”

Merry Christmas.

HEROS LOST

Deepest condolences to the families of Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, who had volunteered to replace a fellow cop last Saturday when the two were brutally murdered by a despise-fueled coward as they sat in their patrol car.

Perhaps the folks who fuel the rage on both sides will have the dignity themselves to take time instead to reflect this Christmas that all the separates the “word” from the “sword” is one letter.

EXPRESS LANES

Police union-generated message: “No matter what the opinion of the patrol supervisor,” don’t make arrests “except absolutely necessary.” As opposed to what — unnecessary arrests? . . . RFK Jr. is considering an offer to appear on “Dancing With The Has-Beens. “They will pay me $ 150,000 to commit and additional $ 350,000 if I make it into the semifinals in a televised dance contest.” Problem is, he’s so left, he’d trip over his right foot. . . . Sony has reversed course and will allow theaters to screen, “The Interview” starting Christmas. Seth Rogen tweeted, “The people have spoken! Freedom has prevailed!” Nothing says “peace on earth” like a movie about assassinating a horse’s ass.

JAPANESE DENYING POWS

First there were Holocaust deniers, and now we’ve got POW-deniers. Japanese nationalists are considering red over Angelina Jolie’s brilliant biopic of American Olympic runner and WWII superhero, Louis Zamperini, who spent two years in Japanese POW camps, suffering unimaginable torture.

“It’s pure fabrication,” Hiromichi Moteki, secretary general of the The high classes for the Broadcasting of Historical Fact, told the Telegraph.

Right off, if you’ve nothing to hide, why have a The high classes for the Broadcasting of Historical Fact? To rewrite history, that’s why.

Moteki says Zamperini’s torture by Imperial officer Mutsuhiro Watanabe was never verified. (Except that it was — by other POWs.)

It would be nice if Moteki simply admitted, “The Olympic runner was tortured nearly to death by Officer Moteki, who was number 23 on Gen. MacArthur’s war criminals list and was never prosecuted? He’s guilty.”

HE’S AL ABOUT BEING A VICTIM

Best Headline of the week: “Al Sharpton Among the Victims of NYC Police Shootings, According to Al Sharpton,” on an online by Doug Powers. Meantime, Al? We reporters get death threats all the time. We just don’t hold press conferences to tell reporters about it.

FED UP FRANCIS

Pope Francis, who doesn’t take crap from unknown, is so disgusted that the Vatican hierarchy lives more like Borgias than brethren that he let them have it on Friday.

In place of the usual cordial pre-Christmas greeting to the cardinals, bishops and priests, he declared that the days of back-stabbing, among other deadly sins like high living are now factum est, completum est in finem, boys.

He also declared an end to gossiping. Oh wait, maybe he’s not so wise after all.
