The front man of rock band Puddle of Mudd was arrested late last month after being trapped riding on a baggage carousel at the Denver Global Airport — and surveillance video captured his outrageous ride.
Wes Scantlin, whose hits include “Blurry” and “She Despises Me,” was seen riding around the vertical carousel in an orange hoodie before jumping off and appearing to give someone a high-five.
As “metal” as the stunt may have been perceived, the “Spin You Around” singer is seen arrested moments later for trespassing after entering a restricted area of the airport during one of two rides, police said.
His later failure to appear in court for that Jan. 16 charge has additionally since branded him a wanted man in the Mile High City, Denver police told the Day after day News Monday.
According to a Facebook post by Denver production company Rock Panther, it was a fan that bailed the “dumb” singer out of jail just hours before he was due to perform at a concert the day of his arrest.
“I’m here Denver! Thanks for your patience — Wes xo,” the singer posted on Facebook around 2 a.m. the next morning.
For some fans, but, that news apparently came a little too late.
“So disappointed. Waited with all your other fans for hours and finally gave up at midnight. Surely that can’t be the first luggage carousel you’ve come across ….” Becky Smith responded to that post among dozens of others expressing similar upset.
“I would think you would limit the stupid BS that gets you landed in jail!” slammed Jennifer Huey.
“Provide better for the people who want to see you. Very disappointed,” added Scott Bruzelius.
A few others who did make the performance slammed him for allegedly lip-synching.
Adding to some fans’ rage, the event’s presenter reportedly later vowed on Facebook never to have the Kansas City band back again.
“Those of you that stayed I hope you like Puddle of Mudd produce we will NEVER book them again,” the promoter reportedly confirmed, according to Alt Press.
Five days after his airport shenanigans, the troubled front man posted a tongue-in-cheek apology on Facebook, along with a Photoshopped picture of him sitting on a similar luggage carousel.
“I’m Sorry?” he posted with a smiling emoticon.
Scantlin’s arrest was by far not his first — with previous arrests involving drug charges, vandalism and public intoxication, which mandatory a flight’s emergency landing.
A request for note from the band was not immediately returned.
