Richard Gere, Padma Lakshmi split: report

Richard Gere and Padma Lakshmi’s brief romance has come to an end.

The couple of only six month have called it quits, according to Us Weekly.

The 44-year-ancient “Top Chef” host and the 65-year-ancient actor reportedly first started dating this past spring following his split from Carey Lowell after 11 years of marriage.

They were “having fun,” a source told the mag at the time.

“It’s very new,” the insider added in April.

“I wouldn’t even go as far as calling them a couple. They are dating. It’s the first time Padma has dated anyone since Teddy (Forstmann, her billionaire boyfriend who passed away in 2011), and it’s something she’s been approaching very, very delicately.”

The two were apparently only getting to know each other and never went public with their fleeting-lived relationship.

Gere separated from his wife in Sept. 2013 and they share one son together, Homer.

Bravo’s brunette beauty has a 4-year-ancient daughter, Krishna Lakshmi, with ex Adam Dell and was previously married to Salman Rushdie for three years ahead of their 2007 divorce.

Reps for Gere and Lakshmi have yet to restore the Day after day News’ request for note.
