Rihanna To Become The First Black Model For Dior Campaign

In today’s fashion news, Dior has signed a new face for their “Bolt from the blue Backyard” campaign and to our bolt from the blue, it’s Rihanna. It is believed that she is the first woman of colour spokesperson of the French fashion household in its 70 year history. What a milestone that is! Dior has confirmed that the 27-year-ancient singer is set to appear in the next “Bolt from the blue Backyard” video series, dressed in dazzling Dior from head to toe. She will be accompanying a trio of models Daria Strokus, Melissa Stasiuk and Xiao Wen Ju who have previously been featured in the series. Rihanna will appear in both a video and print ad campaign which will be filmed in the Palace of Versailles and shot by legendary photographer Steven Klein.

The campaign is scheduled to run this spring.
