Rita Ora, Charli XCX and Michelle Rodriguez Look Chic At Cannes 2015
Yesterday, the 22nd amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala was held at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival in France. The event featured well-dressed stars like Rita Ora, Charli XCX and Michelle Rodriguez, who made eye-catching statements on the red carpet in classic red and black gowns.
Although Ora usually prefers edgy and eccentric looks, the 24-year-ancient I Will Never Let You Down singer stepped out in right glamorous form for the event. The British bombshell wore a red strapless Marchesa Fall 2015 creation, which featured statement ruffles on the bustline and along one side of the dress. The gown had a vampy, seductive touch with a thigh-high slit and a contrasting black sash. To perfect her high-drama look, Ora accessorized the Marchesa number with embellished strappy black heels by Giuseppe Zanotti.
Meanwhile, 22-year-ancient British singer Charli XCX also showcased a surprisingly elegant side of herself on the red carpet. While the Boom Clap chanteuse is known for wearing clashing patterns, vivid colours and sultry road style looks, she was quite the lady at yesterday’s gala. Charli XCX arrived in a sleek black off-the-shoulder gown by Vivienne Westwood, with slight ruching and a fitted silhouette. The demure length and the cinched waist brought attention to her slim figure, while the dangling statement earrings were an added bonus.
Also known for her tough girl style and mind-set, 36-year-ancient actress Michelle Rodriguez turned to classic Hollywood glamour for her red carpet appearance at the charity ball. The Furious 7 femme fatale wore a bright scarlet strapless gown by Romona Keveza. While the deep sweetie neckline revealed a hint of cleavage, the voluminous, flowing hem balanced out the cut of the dress. We are loving the rich colour against her skin tone, as well as the statement Chopard necklace to polish off the look.
