The curtain is not closing on Rosie Perez’s hosting gig on “The View.”

The actress, who joined as co-host on the ABC morning talk show in August, isn’t going anywhere, according to her cohort Rosie O’Donnell.

“No matter what you read anywhere, Rosie Perez is also coming back after she is done rehearsing her play,” the comedian said on Thursday’s show about Perez’s role in Larry David’s Broadway production “Fish in the Dark.”

“Regardless of what you hear in other shows or read in magazines, as I did last night at 11:40 and went, ‘What the f—?!’” O’Donnell said, cursing as the camera cut away and bleeped her out.

Speculations started Wednesday when Variety first reported that the “Fugly!” star was exiting the show after only four months on the job.

She did in fact take the month of January off because of her Broadway commitment, but news that she would not be returning sent shockwaves through fans and critics. But a rep for the show dispelled the myth, indicating she’d be back at the end of the month.

“Rosie Perez is currently in dry run for her Broadway play,” the “View” rep said. “Her status with the show has not changed.”

For others, a Perez departure was less shocking than when it was announced she’d be joining the show as co-host.

“I know Nicolle Wallace,” one show insider said when the new hosts were initially hired last year. “But what has Perez done recently?”

After just a few episodes in, internal evaluation surfaced about Perez’s performance.

“She’s constantly correcting herself because she’s constantly screwing something up,” one show insider said shortly after the nasty backstage brawl between Whoopi Goldberg and O’Donnell in November that reportedly left Perez in tears.

“She’s not the sharpest tool in the shed,” the insider added.

In a December interview with the Day after day News’ Viva, Perez spoke about her new TV gig as a positive experience.

“I’m enjoying myself,” she said when questioned how things were going so far.

But, she did admit that she was initially reluctant to jump at the chance to join the show due to the drama seen in previous seasons.

“I don’t want to sound impertinent to the previous cast at all,” she told Viva. “It’s just that when you get to a certain age you want to go to work and delight in yourself.”
