We weren’t too far off with our guesses on what Jolie’s wedding dress would look like. Jolie’s wedding dress was designed by none other than Luigi Massi, the master tailor at Atelier Versace. It was white silk and a classic bridal cut with a large veil and peronal touches. The couple wanted to include their kids in everything for the wedding, including the dress, so their drawings were sewn into the dress and veil. Pitt wore a suit from his closet – with a tie borrowed from one of his sons because Pitt forgot to pack his.

Each child also had a key role to play in the wedding celebration: Eldest sons Maddox, 13, and Pax, 10, walked their mom down the aisle; Zahara, 9, and Vivienne, 6, were flower girls; and Shiloh, 8, and Knox, 6, served as ring bearers. The kids also helped write their parents’ vows. And Pax even baked their wedding cake.

“It was vital to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” Pitt and Jolie told PEOPLE. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very pleased time for our family.”
