It was just another Sunday morning in New York City for Stephen Colbert in what appeared to be an epic promo for his upcoming “Late Show” takeover.

“Hanging out with 600 friends in Union Square this morning!” he tweeted. “Thanks for braving the heat! #LSSC”

The 51-year-ancient host was reportedly filming a promo ahead of next month’s Sept. 8 premiere of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on CBS.

“Morning balloon frenzy with friends! #LSSC” he tweeted with a gif of smiling fans enjoying the balloon show.

Ahead of his official debut as David Letterman’s replacement, Colbert has promised to accentuate a “female perspective” in late-night’s male-dominated industry.

“It has been pointed out to me that I, like, other late-night TV hosts, am a man,” he wrote in a new Glamour magazine op-ed. “And while I’m pleased to have a job, I am surprised that the world of late-night TV lacks a female presence, unlike sitcoms, which are packed with smoking-hot wives who teach their doughy husband a valuable lesson when he slips on a pizza and falls headfirst into a porta-potty full of beer.”

The comedian, who credited two of his female staff writers for helping write the amusing essay, added, “To be honest, sometimes I wonder whether the world would be a better place if women were in charge. It would be pretty easy to make that take place. Simply tell the men of the world that you’re trying to start a campfire. While we’re all arguing with one another about proper kindling placement and whether using lighter fluid is cheating, women can just peacefully start getting stuff done.”

On Aug. 13 when the article was first published, Colbert, who vowed to “continue to fight for women, because I’m a man who is deeply in touch with my femininity,” took to Twitter to poke fun at himself, prose, “I wrote an article for @glamourmag, and they put me on the cover! (I look a lot like Karlie Kloss in makeup.)”

Colbert will welcome George Clooney and GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush as guest on his first episode of “The Late Show.”

“@JebBush will be on #LSSC Sept. 8!” he tweeted Aug. 11. “My first GOP candidate! Luckily I do 200 shows a year, so I think I can fit them all.”
