R&B singer Teddy Riley is seeking a court injunction to stop former bandmate Chauncey Hannibal from using the “Blackstreet” name.

Riley filed papers Wednesday in Brooklyn Federal Court alleging that Hannibal allowed the “Blackstreet” trademark renewal to lapse, then fraudulently applied for a new registration under his own name and holding himself as the title-holder of the band’s name.

Riley, who has worked with Michael Jackson, rapper Doug E. Original and Bobby Brown, is no weirder to legal action — he has previously sued Lady Gaga, two other “Blackstreet” bandmates and even his own daughter, according to published reports.
