The New Emilio Pucci Collection Sports A Newfound Attitude
Although Massimo Giorgetti is best known for his own mark, MSGM, the Italian designer was also recently titled the creative director of Emilio Pucci. To celebrate his debut with the fashion household, Giorgetti has revealed a new sneak peek of his first collection for Pucci, which he has called “The Pilot Episode”.
With Italian mark Pucci being renowned for its loud, splashy prints and bold colours ever since it was founded in 1947, it makes sense that Giorgetti would keep up the signature theme. His new line, but, puts a young spin on classic Pucci style with revamped, edgy designs and models sporting bold septum piercings.
Giorgetti showcased a collection of bold stripes, neon hues and feathery detail at Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy. The updated Pucci line features colour combinations of bold yellow and violet, abstract prints on sleek dresses, and handbags trimmed with fringed accents. With funky, layered silhouettes, hints of pastel pink and sheer black designs, Giorgetti is clearly aiming for a modern makeover at the classic brand.
