Thieves beat a path to the Leonora club’s door in Chelsea

The Leonora, Chelsea’s brand-new nightclub, might want to keep a doorman on staff around the timer.

Just before the weekend got underway, title-holder Noel Ashman was surprised to find his boite’s door had been hurt after bumbling would-be crooks smashed in the lock and set off internal alarms. Luckily for Ashman, the hoodlums were unable to get inside, but they did manage to steal a high-priced 19th-century railroad-car doorknob from the front door. “I guess the thief wanted to make sure that he had easy access to the lounge when it opens,” cracked a club employee.

The surefire celeb magnet opened for previews this weekend and will go public in time for Fashion Week in September. Ashman, who’s run hot spots including Veruka, the Plumm, NA and the 2.0 version of Studio 54, has partners in the new club including photographer Patrick McMullan , New Kid Joey McIntyre , actor Luis Guzman and detective-turned-celebrity Bo Dietl . The Leonora started things off Thursday by hosting the opening have fun for Julia Stiles ’ play “The Phoenix.”

MEALTIME WITH MARIO

Reckon following “The Real Housewives of New York” is exhausting? Try keeping up with their husbands. Sunday, we reported that Mario Singer wanted everyone at High East Side restaurant the Arlington Club to know he was done with his wife, Ramona. Saturday, he was blemished at Conca D’Oro in Sag Harbor with a woman who wasn’t Ramona. Super Mario was also seen brunching with an alleged mistress in Manhattan the previous weekend, who In Touch magazine identified as Kasey Dexter.

MARIANNE FEELS FOR L’WREN

Mick Jagger ’s ex-girlfriend Marianne Faithfull says L’Wren Scott “could have been me.” In an interview with the U.K.’s Sunday Times magazine, she said, “I look at poor L’Wren and I feel tremendous compassion because she obviously couldn’t cut it. Being with Mick was very hard — and it could have been me.” She declined to elaborate. Faithfull confessed she took 50 sleeping pills and went into a coma while traveling with Jagger in 1969. Scott took her own life in March.

GISELE IS KEEPING HER HEAD DOWN

Gisele Bundchen continues to defy gravity. The 34-year-ancient mother of two posted the photo above, of herself doing yoga on the beaches of Costa Rica, on Saturday. We’re guessing this pose is called “downward facing super-hot supermodel burying her head in the sand.” Bundchen attached no heading to the Instagram photo. On Aug. 28, her hubby, Tom Brady, will lead his New England Patriots into battle with the Giants; Huge Blue hopes he winds up in a similar pose during the two teams’ final preseason game.

KATY HITS THE HALL

“Last Friday Night” singer Katy Perry spent her Saturday night at Webster Hall at the after-have fun for the Mad Decent Block Have fun in Coney Island. Webster Hall GM Gerard McNamee welcomed Perry and boyfriend DJ Diplo, aka Thomas Wesley Pentz, to the legendary East Village concert hall, where they joined nearly 3,000 other partygoers including nightlife VIP Jerry Brandt, who owned Webster Hall in the ’80s, when it was known as the Ritz. It was a quick stop for Perry. She performed in Chicago Friday and had a Sunday concert in Michigan.

Get ready for Kourt-sanity! Kourtney Kardashian borrowed a page from her sister Kim ’s book of ridiculous parenthood wear at the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club this past weekend. Joined by her three-time baby daddy, Scott Disick, Kourtney may have looked like a lumpy doily, but she refrained from boozing at the chi-chi social club, according to our spies out East.

STAR JONES TALKS UP ROSIE

Former “View” co-host Star Jones finds Rosie riveting. At Women’s Shape magazine’s Run 10 Feed 10 event Saturday in Bridgehampton, Jones was overheard telling guests that she was excited to hear Rosie O’Donnell would be returning to the ABC talk show and that “there were things left unfinished” from the candid O’Donnell’s stint on the show from September 2006 in anticipation of May 2007. Jones, who joined “The View” in 1997, was one of the show’s four original hosts.

DAYTIME STAR CHARLES KEATING: RIP

Classically trained, Emmy-winning actor Charles Keating has left us for another world. He was 72. Keating, a charming and charismatic Brit, was perhaps best known for playing the diabolical Carl Hutchins in “Another World” through the 1990s. His film work was highlighted by memorable performances in “Awakenings,” “The Bodyguard” and the remake of “The Thomas Crown Affair.” Confidenti@l can also authenticate that the multitalented Keating was the life of every have fun he attended. He died Saturday in Weston, Conn.
