Minnie Mouse: The exclusive studio presentation of the “Inspired by Minnie Mouse” Design Competition included feminine and flirty styles from WMCFW designers, in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Start Up. A mixed print frock by Blak.I made a statement with bold red and black polka dots on one half of the dress. Tiny black polka dots paired with red and black trim made up the other half, for a charming contrast.
Vaiken featured a funky white dress with a futuristic transparent hem, while Eliza Faulkner showcased a sleeveless red flared number with sweet bows.

Rising superstar designer Sid Neigum walked away as the competition’s winner, with a unique cut-out black dress inspired by Minnie Mouse ears.

Thomas Bálint: With a fierce menswear-inspired vibe, Toronto-based designer Thomas Bálint sent models down the airstrip in a muted colour palette. Loose black dresses, dramatic cut-outs and androgynous styling set the tone for these severe and dark looks.

Bustle: Shifting away from floating fabrics and darker tones, Bustle Clothing open fun and vibrant looks for spring. A turquoise jacket and matching shorts made a perfect suit for sunny days, while white shorts and a printed blue top defined casual chic. As models marched down the footbridge smiling and snapping photos of the audience, Bustle left a striking impression of a playful collection.

Mélissa Nepton: The Montreal designer stayed right to neutrals, with a focus on black and white designs. From a fleeting striped dress to a sharply detailed white cut-out top, a basic colour scheme was the theme for spring looks. Sassy black shorts and black detail on a white dress added an edge to the collection.
