Tracy Morgan has kept a relatively low profile since being caught up in a car accident last June that took the life of his friend and fellow comedian James McNair. But, that’s about to exchange: Tracy will restore to the screen Oct. 17 as a host for Saturday Night Live. Yes, the show that made T a household name when he starred on it from 1996 to 2003. How splendid is that?!

SNL announced Tracy as its third host of the upcoming season, with Miley Cyrus and Amy Schumer going before him. Talk about three powerhouse openers. Come through, NBC!
