Tottenham are on the verge of signing MLS star DeAndre Yedlin.

The right-back is likely to cost £2.75million and will put pressure on the fringe players whose futures are shrouded in doubt.

Yedlin who plays for Seattle Sounders, was previously a transfer target for Liverpool.

Arsene Wenger is cool about Arsenal making more attacking reinforcements.

Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield yesterday.

Wenger said: “I have more attacking options than I’ve had for a long time.

“Three, four, five years ago every year we lost a big player.”

Wenger waved goodbye to Thomas Vermaelen after he left the Gunners yesterday.

The Belgian centre half joined Barcelona in a £15m deal.
