For spring 2015, it’s all about the details. From intricate beading to 3-D textures and gorgeous gems to sparkling appliques, this luxe trend is certainly one to try.

From the runways to the streets, the embellished trend is taking over. We’ve seen the ornate detailing on everything from bags, shoes and skirts to pants, tops and dresses. And celebrities also like the trend. Poppy Delevingne has been blemished in some stunning embellished pieces on the red carpet recently.

Designers have crafted perfectly embellished pieces that are like art brought to life. Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabanna made picturesque pieces topped with jewels and floral appliques that look fit for royalty. Marni and Burberry have gone wild with the trend, adding it to almost every piece in their collection. Chanel also showed a lot of appliques, like the floral number in the photo below from the Spring ’15 collection.

You can easily take embellished pieces from day to night. They add so much to what would be just an ordinary outfit, like a plain sweater is amped up with crystal add-ons to add a luxe feel.   For day time, stick to one embellished piece as the focus of your outfit. Pair it with minimal separates to bring even more attention to the gorgeous piece, like an embellished jacket over a white blouse. For night time dressing, you can skip the garnishing as they are built right into to the clothing, like a bewildered dress or sequin mini skirt.
