Tristan Fall 2013 Fashion Preview

Montreal-based fashion retailer Tristan has become known for its professional pieces for mature career women. But, the brand is taking a step in a new management for fall 2013- with a playful and young update on outfits which are still appropriate for work.

Real Style had the pleasure of attending Tristan’s fall sneak peek. We loved the newer combination of patterns and bold prints, along with streamlined black and white classic looks.

The collection includes white blouses with embellished collars, tucked into black and white printed A-line skirts. A gorgeous baroque-style blazer was paired with a matching skirt, as the fall line heads toward all-over prints for a total look. For fashionistas who prefer basic black, Tristan’s shift-style leather dress with cap sleeves is elegant and chic.

While neutrals are certainly featured for work outfits, evening and weekend looks in the collection are full of colour and energy. With a red, yellow, and blue floral print zippered jacket worn over a bright red blouse, we couldn’t help but admire the mix of gorgeous tones in a flattering cut.

Although the collection is made with wind, rain, and of course snow in mind, florals were everywhere to be seen! From the vibrant jacket to a white and black jacquard print skirt, the collection promises that there is no avoiding a touch of spring beauty this fall.

Garnishing are also fashion-forward, combining classic menswear looks with feminine charm. Following the success of its men’s bow ties the season before, the brand has introduced ladylike, decorative bow ties crafted by a creative designer out of silk ties. It seems like the season ahead will be an exciting one at Tristan, and while it may only be June, we can hardly wait!
