Uncle Poodle may be happily wagging his tail soon.
The reality star, whose real name is Lee Thompson and who appeared on TLC’s “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” before the show’s cancellation, is vying for a spin-off with the network, TMZ reports.
It apparently started with an online petition calling for Poodle and Sugar Bear, Honey Boo Boo’s father whose real name is David Michael Thompson, to launch their own show.
But given the reported strife between Bear and Poodle over custody of Honey Boo Boo, it’s unlikely the men will team up for a show.

The hit show was given up for lost due to June’s involvement with a convicted child molester, Mark McDaniel, who reportedly abused one of her daughters. Poodle is supposedly trying to get Honey Boo Boo taken away from her except she severs all ties with McDaniel, but June and Bear, who have reportedly reunited, aren’t having it.
Regardless, Poodle said he’d only be interested in a spin-off show if Honey Boo Boo could make guest appearances, since she shouldn’t be held liable for her mother’s decisions that cost them the reality series, according to TMZ.
He and his fiancé, Alan, reportedly leaning the show thought to producers in which their go from the country to New York City would be chronicled.
“Amusing thing is, I never said anything about NYC or half that s–t they added,” Poodle wrote on his Facebook page Tuesday in response to TMZ’s report.
“I but said, if I were existing my own show that I wouldn’t say no, and I’d like the girls to stay caught up as I’d not be who I am today without them, especially Alana (Honey Boo Boo),” he continued. “How does everyone think I got this dang nickname!”
Poodle added, “The rest of their post was added by them to twist a report to try and make it dramatic and s–t.”
