Alber Elbaz of Lanvin defined his Spring 2014 collection that included the much talked about trash bag purse priced at $ 1,500 as, “an homage to the fabric industry.” Adding, “vacant to the factories, to the basements and warehouses where fabrics are kept, tells you the truth. The Lanvin trash bag purse worth $ 1,500 trapped the attention of many editors and buyers alike, as this headline hogging Lanvin trash bag had sartorial similarities to the much talked about Jil Sander lunch bag from her Fall/Winter 2012 collection.
